for example, is the 5 1/4 midrange the same in the m80, m60, m22, vp150, QS8, and m2i?
are all the tweeters the same?
is the 6 1/2 in the m80s and m60's and m50's and m40 and m3's all the same?
i wonder...

Yup. They unified the tweeters a few months ago when they changed out the QS4's tweeters. I'm not absolutely sure about the 5 1/4 and the 6 1/2, but I'm pretty sure. It's just cheaper to manufacture that way, and I would wager that timbre matching is much easier.
I'm wondering why and how the speakers that only have the 6 1/2 differ (and how much) from the speakers that either only have the 5 1/4 or have both. Is the 5 1/4 + tweeter the secret to Axiom's great sound?

i think bigger drivers produce more bass, and smaller drivers would produce more accurate sounds that aren't as deep.
i may be totally wrong, i'm really just guestimating based on my logic.
