But seriously, discounting Doctor Who because of the first 4 eps? That's like discounting TNG based on the first season.
Or the second season.
Or the third... oh well, you get it.

Hey, I love TNG. I'm just saying the first few seasons were a little uneven at best. Same with DS9 and Voyager.

Pretty soon Dr. Who will be put up against pretty much every sci-fi show. LOL
You know that the plastic special effects were better in Predator than Dr. Who's special effects, and Predator had those goofy long fingers that the actor couldn't articulate. Boom!
(I am just messing with your guys.)

Don't let it get to you.
Um actually, wait a sec.... Here we go. “Letting it get to you. You know what that’s called? Being alive. Best thing there is. Being alive right now is all that counts.” — The Doctor, Season 6, Episode 4
That's one of the things I like about the show. Like Sienfeld or The Simpsons, it has a quote for absolutely any situation.

Or the third... oh well, you get it. Would you continue to date a woman after the first few dates were bad? There's probably many women who don't make a good first impression but who would be great in a long-term relationship. TV shows are not people, though, so this is probably a bad analogy.

I think we need to make a car analogy.

yes, sometimes you need a car.
Mickey Smith: Okay, no time to explain, we need to get inside the school. Do you have, like, I don't know, a lock picking device? K9: We are in a car. Mickey Smith: Maybe a drill attachment? K9: We are in a car. Mickey Smith: Fat lot of good you are K9: We are in a car. Mickey Smith: Wait a second. We're in a car. K9: Affirmative. Mickey Smith: [shouts out window] Get back! [crashes car through main doors]
