My recliner couch is too comfy and i keep falling asleep. Should i buy crapier furniture or just put thumbtacks on the seat.

I've got theater seats that are 5 years old, and I've never thought that they were very comfy. Seems like the theater recliners were made for people about 5'10" (178cm) or shorter. I am almost 4" (10cm) taller than that and it just isn't very good... I actually want something MORE comfortable... We should swap. Mine look like this (but with stainless steel cupholders now): What do you have to trade?

Perhaps thats my mistake. I didnt buy theater seating, mine is a lazy boy recliner couch and it wasnt cheap , it made me a Lazy Boy. I never fall asleep at a commercial theater the seats there are atrocious. Also i am one of the vertically challenged so i fit anywhere LOL. Whenever i decide to watch a movie i have consider how late it is and whether i should put coffee on. I watch most movies in the afternoon now. Your seats look very comfy, i am surprised your not happy though looks are deceiving and being tall can pose problems.

I wouldn't change anything... the furniture is doing what it should, you either need more sleep or more interesting movies When my friends come over for dinner the evening usually ends with everyone going up to the loft, putting on a movie and almost immediately falling asleep. We are usually all pretty sleep-deprived by the end of the week but nobody wants to admit it ("we're tougher than that, we don't need sleep like normal people"), so this is an acceptable compromise. If anyone turns out *not* to be short of sleep (it happens) they can watch the movie and tell the others how it ended and whether it's worth watching again.
