Oh my fucking god!!!
...i dialed this in even more!
I manually set my distances and levels and ran some different eqs through mcacc.
I have a preset just dialed in to a T for movies!
And watching the opening scene to James bond Spectre....is making my jaw hang on the floor.
These qs10 are something else!

One of the things I like about my QS8s is that they are up and out of the way. A floor-standing surround gets in the way and ends up being in a listener's face. The diffuse sound also works very well in my room now and gives a very wide sound stage in DPLII.
I wonder however how much better the sound might be with the QS10HPs. I also wonder if the QSs might sound better in a larger room like mine if they had a less diffuse radiation pattern. For example, if the top and bottom firing drivers were angled 30 or maybe 45 degrees into the room. I personally don't think it's ideal to have them too far above your listening position. 2 feet max. I've experienced it in many a home theater and feel it really creates an awkward sound field for me. I do wish I could have a wider spread though (front and back) 20 something feet though? Hardcore

Have you tried placing the M80s on each side of the window? Careful though...you may not be able to move them back.

No haven't tried that. My furniture wouldn't allow a layout like that. Even if I could it would eat the room up in an awkward way We are hoping to buy a house this year. And we definitely will be eying up a friendly room for my equipment!

Who cares what the furniture looks like in the room. It's about the audio.

Sorry but aesthetics (including hiding wires & cables) are very important to many of us, especially if there is a lady in the house, ha!...
