I'm looking for an amplifier to drive my M60s and VP150. What amp do you use in your system and what do you recommend? I heard the Odyssey Stratos and Adcom 5503 are both very good.

check out the refurbished Denon's (they come with full warranty) at ecost.com

i have a marantz MM9000 and it pushes my epic 60 +vp150 system very nicely, the mm9000 puts out about 170 watts or so per channel X5, and you can buy one for 600$ at http://accessories4less.com/ another guy on the board bought one of the mm9000's from accessories4less as well, and he is very pleased with his amp as i am with mine, also the amp is THX certified... dont know if it matters to you or not, but it is... also originally the amp cost 2000$... you will be buying over stock ( from the manufacture) from a certified dealer, so we get the 5 year warrantee that marantz offers on the amp.. I think its 5 years....

hope this helps, this is about the best value of an amp you can buy, I did about a months worth of research before I bought mine, and it was the best value I could come up with…

good luck..

I'm the other guy with one of the Marantz MM900's. The last time I checked, accessories4less had them for $749 including shipping. This is a 170 xatt x 5 amp that originally retailed for over $2K. Everybody I've heard of who has one is quite satisfied with the unit, myself included. It's a great way to get a powerful multichannel amp at a very low cost.

I had an Odyssey Stratos powering my M60ti's for awhile, and couldn't have been happier. Klaus is a really decent guy to boot.

Thanks...based on your recommendation and review on audioreview.com, I'm going with the Marantz 9000. I'm now using the HarmanKardon AV-320 and it has 55WPC. I'm not sure whether or not I will hear noticable different. But I'm willing to give separate a try. Thanks.
