M5s and a VP180 center would be an awesome combo...maybe more $$ than you want to put into a "Secondary System" though. M5HPs with a VP160 would be awesome. True the 160 is preferable imho but as seen in his pictures the height is an issue and the VP 180 has a steeper angle and is also slimmer

Height is not an issue. Bayne can clear that crap off the bottom shelf, move his receiver down and make way for the 160.

Looking at the photo. why don't you just move the receiver to the right and then put the M3 on the same shelf as the reveiver? there is nothing writen in stone that a reviever needs to be center on the stand.
