Aural porn.  I'll bet most of the YouTube audience is missing the spatial treat. We were listening to the CD and DVD of Diana Krall live in Paris yesterday. The DVD is just bloody awful. It is missing the emotion of the CD version. I suspect it has to do with a difference in bit depth.

Gold Note DS10 Streamer DAC with PSU10 power supply. Very nice sound quality. I play Qbit and Tidal hires, unfolds MQA, very nice.

Very pricey for me, but, it's the lowest priced streamer/DAC I auditioned that I thought has excellent sound quality.
I am an addict, you know.

2x6, you must have excellent hearing ... I’m pretty sure my ears are over 6db down by 15k. So all that fancy bit rate quadrupling doesn’t matter for me ... save a ton of cash that way.

I figure I should do the best I can with what I have. I compared the GN DS10 with some Mytek Brooklyn Bridge, no comparison IMHO. The Aurender sounded as good but cost much more. The DcS stuff, well, that's money and it sounds like it.

The Gold Note DS10 Streamer DAC looks great and I imagine sounds wonderful but I’m afraid it would be wasted on me.
