I just recently notice a slight hum coming from the rear speakers on my left front LFR. I'm guessing it's picking up some interference from somewhere. The right LFR and the front speakers of the left LFR are fine. It's almost a faint white noise sound when nothing is being played. Any suggestions on hunting down the interference? They are hooked up to the 1500.

I think both 2x and I have heard a bit of white noise off our speakers with the ADA1500. I have only heard it when with in 1 or 2 feet of the speaker when nothing is playing. I was not really concerned about it as I can't hear it from my seat (although the current room ambient is really high as the walls and floor are bare). I have not tried to trace it down but probably will once I get my stuff setup again ... probably late march or early april the way I'm going.

You can run the test by shorting the RCA input (make sure the XLR input is disconnected first). I'd plug a short RCA cable in and short the other end. If you still hear the hiss then it's coming from the 1500 otherwise it coming from something before it in the chain.

Okay. I will give that a try. You do have to be right up next to the speaker to hear it.

It's been a while ... think I heard it from about a foot away. But since it was connected to the DSP, then to 8805 and finally a blu-ray player it might have been noise form any of them.

In any case If you need to put your ear inches from the speaker to hear it ... it's not something I personally would worry about.
Maybe other might have a different opinion.
