Really nice Bill. Definitely a lot of effort put in there. Makes me want to decorate my basement.

Don't you get a lot of echo / reverb with all those bare brick walls though? You may want to consider putting some Echo Busters and / or diffusers in there, or making something similar yourself. I get annoyed enough with the feedback in plasterboard wall basement and am considering some options for damping myself.

What a great room! The thing I like best about it is just the open spaciousness of the room. I'm so used to cramming everything I own into a small space.

I can't believe the previous owner left all those pieces of furniture. Why don't things like that happen to me.

Very nice, Bill.

Although it looks like it, my HT is in what used to be our living room - not the basement. The dining room has become our "mini HT", and the "eating space in kitchen" is now our dining room. It sounds awful but if you saw it in person you'd like it!

We're in Arizona and the house is about 50 years old. The bricks are actually adobe, which are large but very porous bricks. For some reason there's no echo, reverb, or any other kind of sound feedback from the walls. What's better is that adobe is a super insulator . . . we've got the best of all worlds here!

We moved here to Arizona just 3 months ago. Before we were in Florida and the HT was in a 10x12 room, so I know what you mean about crammed space. FWIW though, the small HT worked VERY well, although the big HT is a huge improvement!

The previous owner of our house had two other homes, all furnished. He was downsizing his real estate holdings, so talking him into leaving everything behind was a cinch . . . we DID get lucky!

The Doris Day autographs I got myself. As for the rest, there's a number of people out there who make a living by chasing down celebrities, getting their autographs, then selling them. Search online for "movie poster autographs", or click here to see offerings on eBay. Note that autographs of deceased celebrities cost a LOT more!

Bill is the first fellow AZ poster I have seen on these boards. I live up in PHX and would be interested in hearing these speakers. I have many friends in Tucson. What part of Tucson do you live in?
