I'm going to be finishing (FINALLY) the rest of my HT setup this weekend (M22's, VP150, QS8's, and EP125) and I have one looming question. How important are speaker distance settings in the receiver? My room is 11'x17' and the listening position is 9' back from the mains and about 4' on each side from the surrounds. Would setting these distances in the receiver render the best results? My music to movie ratio will be about 70/30 by the way. Thanks as always.

I say, if you can set them you might as well. It's not a very time intensive process, whether or not you notice it.

Jason, yes it's important when there's a significant difference in the distance to the various speakers that the direct sounds arrive as simultaneously as possible. It's very little bother, so measure and set it accurately.

Thanks for your input guys. It's an easy thing to set, so I'll just do it for safe measure (oops pardon the pun).
