LOL....I had a kid 8 months ago and I thought it was bad when I got married. It really is true "get married + have kid = no more hanky panky.....EVER" I have come very fond of Irish Spring soap.......;) But not to get off topic my SVS PB2 sub really does rock my house big time....:)

OK, I laughed at that one. I guess I'm just thin skinned about the political ones, which I generally don't read. Bugs me when they start sneaking into the regular threads. Now that we've beaten that to death, bass is pretty good at my house, but I think I need to turn it up more. When a train goes over a cliff and explodes, you're supposed to feel it, right?

Depends on if the train is filled with bass...you still should be able to feel it, but it should be immediately followed by a great number of wet flopping sounds...

Tom, how's that for bring fish into the thread?

At my house, I like to state that "The Thunder Reigns Supreme" when referring to my SVS 20-39 PC+.

Jack, I'm glad you are able to recall that you like sex. I'm reduced to taking a daily supplement comprised of viagara and ginko biloba. It helps me remember how good sex used to be.

No, no, this was the train in Back to the Future III. I backed it up when I didn't feel anything and turned up the sub a bit, but it still lacked impact. Anyone have experience with this disc? Does the train make the house shake or not?

I will have to check that out...I have the above sub and the movie...maybe the family will want to watch that tonight...

You do mean when the car is destroyed by the train at the end of the film, right?

I know that I was very disappointed that they opted to NOT include the DTS versions of these movies when they released the box set...

Well, the scene when the train runs off the track and explodes was rather unimpressive on my setup as well. So was the scene where the current day train destroys the Delorean...there was bass there but not in the amounts more recent films contain...hence my comment about the DTS versions.

If memory serves me right, that scene was also not very impressive when it was released in the theater either...

Believe it has to do with WHEN the movie was produced...and the technology available at the time.

More emphasis has been placed on BIG explosions and MUCH action for current releases...was not that way previously...

I personally believe that these movies were rushed out to make the Christmas DVD release a couple of years ago...and the time was NOT taken to remaster them correctly or compensate for different customer requirements.
