I have read that the VP100 is good but not quite the match in quality for the M22s. Is the VP150 significantly better? How about using another M22 for a center?
I know the VP centers are better sheilded, but are they made to sound a little different to deal with the effect of the TV on their sound (certian frequencies lowered?).
Any other things to think about in the choice of a center speaker?

donaldekelly,
what I've read around here most would agree the VP100 is a very capable centre. I have heard many times before people say that the VP100 sounds the same as the VP150 and so should match the M22 similarily. The advantage of the VP150 is it has better dispersion and obviously plays louder. I think any difference noticed between the two would be due to these two things. So if you're in a smallish room the VP100 should be ample and beable to match the M22 just as well as the VP150. If you're in a larger room then the VP150 would probably work out the best. If you can afford it and in doubt go for the VP150.
No remorse...
Anything else to consider for a centre? It has been mentioned before and I'm a fan of the idea of using an upright centre like a single M22. I bet that would match perfectly
Cheers, Jag

Don, as I've said in several replies over the past couple years, I prefer a vertical center to a horizontal one. An M2 would match your M22s almost perfectly above the lowest bass(which the sub would handle anyway). If the size is acceptable another M22 would obviously be excellent.

Thanks for both replies
Very helpful to get the "near consensus" of Axiom users.

I have the vp100 with m22s. In my judgement it is a very good center channel. Dialogue is clear as a bell. It sounds darn good with music also. I don't have any remorse going with it instead of the 150. I think it's wonderful.
