I purchased the epic grand master with the QS8's souround and have a Yamaha rx v-750 receiver. On the back of the receiver there is a switch for 8 ohm speaker or higher which can be switched over to 6 ohm speaker or higher. Do I need to worry about this setting with the 6 ohm QS8's or just leave it where it is at 8 ohms. The receiver is 100watts x 7 by the way. Thanks.

I believe the standard solution is to leave them at 8 ohms regardless of your QS8s playing a 6 ohm load. I currently play my Yamaha RX-V1500 in an 8 ohm load and have a pair of QS8s. Everything is running just fine.

I will agree, you should have no problem at all. I ran the VP150 and Qs8's off my old Sony 2ES (switch left on 8 ohm) before upgrading and never had any issues.

The six ohm setting is there to satisfy government safety requirements. It actually lowers the amperage available - I would not use it. There is nothing to worry about unless your receiver gets very hot.

Agreed Karp. I left mine set to 8ohms since anything that can push an 8ohm load can also push a 6ohm load.
