I have a small room..the M22 will be about 6 feet apart on
either side of my TV ... Do you all think that the VP150 is overkill for such a small room

I will be sitting about 7 feet away

Not at all. I have the M22s with a VP150. The speakers are about 6 1/2 feet apart and maybe 7 or 8 feet from my listening position. I couldn't be happier.

I dont think it would be overkill, but I have a vp100 in a larger room than yours and coundnt be happier. What I'm trying to say is if you go with 'just'a vp100, you wont be disappointed.

My M22's are set up similar to yours. I just took delivery on the VP150 and am very pleased. It helps with dialogue for those that aren't sitting in the "sweet-spot" and really helps create a great soundstage. I contemplated going with the VP100, but decided to nip upgraditis in the bud and never look back and wonder what if. If finances allow get the VP150-IMO you won't be disappointed.

I would not hesitate on the 150, I also have the 22s, and have a small depth room, 12ft. the room is 22+ long but the center, (c.c.) due to the room configeration has to fire the 12ft direction. I like to play most movies loud, often very loud (depending on the type of movie) You don't want to compromise on the center, that's not knocking the 100, cause I have never heard it. I am sure it's strong, but some more drivers is not something you will reget down the road. With the amount of content that that c.c. delivers in every movie, I don't think this is where I would compromise, most AV receivers will let you "dial in" the c.c. / d.b. level, it's also 6 ohms on the 150. so you won't be over-whelmed, but when you need it-it's there.

The good news is you don't make a mistake with the 100 or the 150. I alos have the 100 in a 16x22 room and don't feel the need for any more. Both are excellent.
