I'm thinking of going 2 Channel for my M60s. Does anyone have any experience with the new HK 235? Does it have enough juice? or should I go with a 2 channel amp instead?

I am running M60s with an HK3270 stereo receiver, which I believe is about the same power as a 235 in stereo. It wasn't quite powerful enough to make M2s fill the room, but it sure does the job with M60s.

My HK 230 has plenty of power to fill a 20' X 12' X 10' open loft - even on 2 channel stereo with Polk RTi8 fronts that are not quite as efficient as the M60's.

I do know that Outlaw Audio is coming out with a pretty nice 2 channel option. May want to check it out.

Heres a pic of the Outlaw 2150 2 ch reciever.
It's the silver piece on top,it's a good looking piece of equipment. Here is some info on it.

Great pic of the 2150. I have not seen it to date. I am amazed they went away from the Black look into silver. Nice look.

I don't need it but it does look nice. I took a look at the Outlaw forum on this unit and people are getting a little heated on teh delay of the unit. I understand that Outlaw is not the best when it comes to quick releases. I do know that they want to do it right but there has to be a breaking point with your customers.

I'm not familiar with the HK 235, but I'm running my M60's with a Denon DRA-395 Stereo Reciever, which has 80W/channel and it has PLENTY of power to drive the M60's (and it sounds wonderful!)

Thanks for everyones input.
I actually bought the HK 235 and still doing some extensive listing with them. I can always return it if I dont like it; but thats not the case. So far these sound better than my Yamaha 1400. Its smoother and bit laid back(warmer) than the Yamaha. I can actually listen to my M60s without fatigue. The HK 235 have plenty of power as well. I found that I had to crank the Yamaha up four notches to get the same loudness with the HK. For example
Yamaha RXV1400: -26dB to HK AVR235: -30dB
So much for Yamaha's 110w/channel. I also found at a higher volume the Yamaha is harsh where the HK really shine.(Very Smooth) I really love how the HK matches the M60s. I will be keeping these for two channel music. And the Yamaha for my HT use.
Thanks again guys.
