With the recent addition of a new VP150 I thought it was finally time to post a couple of pix of my system. The entertainment center is an old Ikea business credenza. I had a couple of custom drawers made and it currently fits the bill pretty well. The flash makes it look redder than it really is. The speakers are Boston Cherry (they look darker than they really are). I had been using a single M2 as a center-it worked great in and near the "sweet spot", but we have a couple of chairs on the fringe of the viewing area and were missing dialogue. The VP150 took care of that problem. It's mounted with an FMB and amazingly the WAF is very high. She thinks that big center looks great mounted on the wall and I agree. We had tried to use the M2 on top of the TV but got too much magnetic interference. We got a little interference with the VP150 so went with the mount. My qS4's are mounted about 9 feet back from the fronts on the back wall-7 feet up. My pix of them were pretty nondescript as the flash didn't do them justice I'll try again and post later. Right now I'm using an HK 130, but will have bought an HK 630 which will be delivered next Monday. That should shake the windows. I wasn't able to find a closeout HSU sub at our local CompUSA so am getting by with my Dayton 10" from PartsExpress. By the way if anyone is looking for a decent inexpensive sub-they recently cut the price of that to $99-hard to beat at that price.

that HK630 should definitely rock out those 22's. very surprised you got the WAF on the center mounted like that. my wife would have fought me tooth and nail. i think it looks great. you can probably get a much better sound stage if you could get those 22's a little further apart.. maybe some stands about a 1-2 feet away from the desk. but, i totally understand the concept of, 'working with what ya got'.. so, dont stress.. ya gotta play with the hand you are dealt...

Plans are in the works for speaker stands this winter-I'm taking a seasonal layoff to play with my twins and build stands. I found a link for some simple stands which should hold the M22's nicely.

We don't get to see wall mounted VP's very often. That looks very cool up there!

When I get a new TV, I may need to wall mount my VP150. It's good to see that it looks nice that way.

Big Will, We hadn't intended on upgrading our TV for a few years thinking that Hi-Def technology would improve and prices might come down on big screens. We saw this JVC 27" Flat Screen at Best Buy-turned out to be a close-out model and then they didn't have a unit except for the display model so they gave us a great deal. Less than $300. The picture is very good, color is excellent. Given that our room is long and narrow and we couldn't set up on an end wall someone is always sitting on the fringes and the flat screen really provides a good picture for that seat. All in all we're happy with the TV. Hopefully by the time we get something bigger the Vikings will have developed a decent defense and we can watch Culpepper and Moss play a Super Bowl in HD.
