Enjoy it Genetic,
That is a monsterous sounding sub you have there as I have had the same one for a couple month's now. It should be capable of filling just about any living room I'll ever move into.
Also, those Samsung's are good looking tv's even when turned off!

Jeff,

Did you make or buy the mount for the center speaker to sit on top of the Sammy? If you bought the mount, could you please let me know where?

I have a Mit 52725 and would like to place the center in the same place.

Thanks

Del

Actually they are miter cut pieces of 2”x4”, I then used that plasticoat (black) dip from home depot and coated them so they would not slide.

The center also has 2 self adhesive rubber feet on the front so it won’t move. You can actually grab the speaker and wiggle the T.V. that is how solid it is.

The Mits drops off in the back a lot more than the Samsung. Its only about 2" wide at the top, then drops off at about 45 degrees.

I really didn’t want to mount the center on the wall, since its about 2 feet behind the TV, but I may not have a choice.

wow that is steep, perhaps too steep to get a solid hold on it.

maybe you can fabricate a shelf that extends to the position you desire?

well it arrived today! even seeing the pictures beforehand it still seems huge.

i had a short while to play with it, i watched chapter 5 thur 7 of bad boys 2, and a bit of U-571. im interested in using the tuning plugs to tune it to 16hz then watch the same reference material again.

I was wondering your SVS impressions. I told you shes a biggin. (thats what we used to call the after midnight girls on a night out in the country bars) for what it's worth, I like (1) port blocked, switched to 16hz. It took some tweaking, and placement, but it's weel worth it.

Isn't that like...illegal or something? I know it's not suggested by the guys at SVS. How long have you been performing your sub @ 16Hz with just the one port blocked? Do you feel you notice a difference?

You can literly feel the difference on certain movies, those that play that low. You sacrifice a little headroom. I have never been told SVS does not reccomend it. It is discussed very routinely in the owners manuul. They do state that damange could occur if the hz. selector switch is not moved accoringingly. no ports switch at 20, 1 blocker at 16 2 blockers at 12.
