I have about a $1500 budget for an amp to run 5-6 (preferably 6) channels.

Idealy I would like a used Cinepro 3k6, however their proving to be sort of hard to find. I was wondering what you guys/gals think would be the closest thing to a comparable amp? (multichannel, high output, high quality) ... I don't care if I have to get a used model to make it affordable. I also don't care if its 1 multichannel, or multiple monoblocks.

Oh yeh, currently I'm running a Harman Kardon AVR7000, and im trying to drastically improve the power output and sound quality.

Are you going to use the HK as a preamp?

I haven't used them, but I hear the Outlaw Audio amps are really good, and affordable. They make a 5 channel amp, a 7 channel amp, and a single channel amp.

It looks like they currently have the 7 channel amp in "B" stock (used, customer return, but works fine) for $1549.

I do plan on using the HK unit as a preamp for the time being. When my budget permits I will sell it and upgrade to a nice preamp of some sort.

I've heard good stuff about Outlaw as well. I just wish they were better looking.
