Well, I have had a few days to audition and calibrate my Axiom’s, so I thought I would take time to give you folks my first impressions regarding these speakers. As you can tell by this title, I am really, really happy with my purchase.

M60s – This is how mains are supposed to sound. Every portion of the spectrum is given full representation. The upper-end is detailed yet contained, midrange is full, and the low-end blends perfectly with my Hsu. In fact, the blend with my sub seems to be much more seamless than my previous set-up. I think this is due to a more pronounced low to midrange.

VP150 – I was actually worried about this speaker. I had read a few reviews that portrayed this center as lacking with dialogue. After watching several movies, I have not had the slightest problem with intelligibility. In fact, the 150 is far better at dialogue reproduction than my previous RC3-II. It also rocks with DVDA and SACD.

QS8s – This speaker offered the greatest improvement of all. Surround sound is now believable. Even my wife noticed this immediately, saying, “the surround sound is very real. The difference (from the Klipsch) is amazing.

Return policy, yeah right. If the folks at Axiom want my speakers back, they will have to pry them from my cold dead fingers. --Andy

Glad you like them Andy.
Standard request is that you post pics as soon as possible.
In this case we only want to see pics of the system/speakers and not the results of what they give you.

I am a new owner too and am enjoying them to the max.

Last night I tried the movie "Collateral" with my 80's. This was the first movie I tried with gunshots. The gunshots sounded very real. Checkout a similar movie if you have not already.

Nat & Andy - if you haven't done so, don't forget to calibrate the speakers. The difference is noticeable.

Very nice post, Andy. It's difficult to explain the vicarious pleasure we get from reading about those who are experiencing the same thing we did. I'm grinning ear to ear right now, and it has NOTHING to do with Viagra.

I want to post a pic, but do not have the ability to pull it off a webserver. Anyother way to do this? --Andy

There are a number of free image hosting services that will let you link images into a post. I think photobucket is the most common.

Or just email it to me and I'll host it for you. John B At Interlog Dot Com without any spaces.
