I finally pulled the trigger and placed the order!
I ordered the M22ti's w/ 24" stands for fronts,
VP150, and QS8's to wall mount behind couch. All
in Boston Cherry w/ black grills. Next will be an
SVS sub. What is the procedure to properly break
in new speakers? And how do you guys rock your
Axiom's, Grills on or off?
Just want to thank everyone. This forum has a lot
of knowledge in it.

1) Congrats!

2) Grills on or off will make no difference. Just leave them the way you like the look best!

3) Break-in of the speakers will take no more than a few hours. (As per Ian, designer of the Axiom speaker line.) Just play 'em and enjoy them!

4) What sub are you considering?

I haven't yet decided. It's a tose up between the 20-39pci
$600. or the 25-31pc-plus $775. I like the added power of
the "plus" and if I have them tune it done to 20Hz does that mean it can play as low as the 20-39? To play down to
20Hz and being 8" smaller would justify spending the extra
$175. for me.

Yep - that's exactly why I mentioned it in another thread. You get the best of both worlds - 20hz and more headroom.

In reply to:

20hz and more headroom

That sounds like a quote you'd read in a brochure for a new car with built-in subwoofer, like your Maxima.

I am embarrassed to tell you that all 10 speakers in my Maxima are Bose. Shudder!!!!! At 6'3" and with a moon window, there is little headroom left. But is does run like a scalded dog!!!

Oh, I'm well aware of that. My Maxima has Bose, too. But I only have 6 speakers, so I guess I'm ahead of you on the audio karma scale.
