We had about 6 inches of snow yesterday along with 40 mph winds, resulting in something the weatherman calls a winter storm warning. What a crock. To me this means snowfall. Last night we experienced an old fashioned blizzard. Every highway in the county was closed by the authorities.

Drove to meet with some friends today. Took the convertible (top down of course) even though it was a bit foggy (marine layer). A few miles inland and the sky is blue but it is definitely chilly - mid 60's. Bbbrrrrrr.

Got about 5-6 inches so far. Maybe I should have bought a snowblower first, then the sub!

I have just made an unfortunate observation My dog Molly is 13" tall at the shouder. The snow in the backyard (her personal bathroom) is now 11" inches deep. While she can see over the top of the snow, her business end is experiencing some serious "wake up" when she goes out.
I will not be shoveling the driveway (happiness is a son-in-law with a plow on his truck ), but I am going into the backyard so Molly has a fighting chance to relieve herself. Damn - now I'm a Doggy Latrine Specialist.

I went for a hike by the SF Bay today. Sunny, mid-60s. No jackets required.

man, i been watching this storm on the weather channel. you guys up north are getting blasted.. i cant believe some of the live shots they have been showing.. near white out conditions. that is just beyond belief. bundle up and be safe.
and i just saw an update from philly.. the eagles stadium is dang near over-run with snow. the roads are blocked, the field, and the seats are completely under the snow.. i think i will just enjoy the game from my couch.. i got some respect for the fans that make it through that game.!!

Reporting from Boston...so far about 6 inches where I am, and we haven't entered the timeframe that weather.com is reporting "blizzard" quite yet. Kinda chilly outside..something like 6 F I think. My street is a real mess right now, no plows have been through.
