Hey,

Don't know if there are any gamers out there, especially ones who play Gamecube, but just curious if anyone's played Resident Evil 4? The surround sound (Dolby PLII) is incredible!

Got it. Considering it's in DLPII, I agree, the sound is fab. While not as "scary" in some sense as the older games, I think it is still by far the best in the series.

Have you finished it yet?

Nah, I'm about 3/4 of the way through the castle. You?

You're right, it's not as scary, but it's also not based on cheap thrills as much. It's all about being backed into a corner and fighting your way out.

Would you say it has the best graphics of any game you've ever seen?

I finished it just this week, great game.

I would agree that it may be the best looking game so far - on a console, anyway. I'm not a PC gamer, but I have seen enough to say that those games can push the graphics.

An absolute blast, though. One of the best games this gen, I think.

Wow, you guys are WAY ahead of me. I'm not an FPS gamer, so the controls are very different to me. I loved RE and RE0, and RE4 looks much better. It's just hard for me to get used to the controls. I keep getting SLAUGHTERED in the village. I try to run away but by time I get around the zombies, I've been chopped to pieces. It'll still take me some time.

BTW, are you guys playing via component? I am, on my 42" plasma. WAY cool. Too bad it doesn't have dolby digital.

For you GC gamers, try this board. Pretty much we have free reign and the moderators don't censor much.

I'm playing with components, yes, on my 46" DLP. I know a lot of people are zooming in so the game takes up the whole screen, but honestly, I think it looks fine with black borders all the way around.

You will get used to the controls eventually, esp. since you were able to manage to get through RE and RE0...

Yeah, it's the aiming/shooting and hand to hand the gets me. There wasn't any of that in previous games and I never was good at that. But the game is good enough to motivate me to learn it though...
