Well after about a month of some serious research on speakers, not to mention many trips to the local speaker stores, I finally ordered my Axioms based on glowing message reviews all over the place on the Internet. Here's the set I got...
M60ti
2-QS8
vp100
I already own a SVS subwoofer so skipped on the EP350.
I actually did a test run about a month ago and ordered the vp100 as an early x-mas present to myself to see if I really wanted the rest of the system. It was VERY nice but I could not really judge how well all of the speakers would sound based on just on that one alone.
I was sooooooooo close to buying a pair of Klipsch RF-35 and RS-35 because they sounded so awesome at the store. Then I read a posts by somebody on another message board that just about did the same thing, then ordered the same Axiom speakers I just did and was very happy that he got the Axioms instead of a Klipsch. This matched what so many others have said too. So on a huge leap of faith, I made the plunge. Now my only problem is waiting for the dang things to arrive - can you say agony!!!!!
My wife is made at the money I spent but she just does not understand. Oh well!!!
Later,
Jason J

Congrats, Jason. Welcome.
I have the same setup and am very pleased. I think you will be, too. Half of the WAF is demonstrating to her how happy it makes YOU. And unless she has tin ears or really doesn't care a whit, she'll likely appreciate the difference when you watch movies.
Enjoy your new system. Stick around. Grab an oar and row when you can.

I had no idea that was all it took for Todd Rundgren to let you in the band. Cool!

I got them today!!!!! Unfortunetly, I only had about 90-100 mintues before I had to go to work so all I was able to do was hook them up, mount the QS8 to the back wall and test them out for about 15 mintues or so.
In that 15 minutes I was in paradise. These things kick so much but it is not even funny. I can't wait until tomorrow when the kids are in school and the wife is at play-group with our baby so I can really test them out.
If you are a newbie like me who is thinking about taking the plunge - I can say whole heartedly - DO IT!!!! Somehow, and don't ask me how, these babies sound better than the Klipsch RF-35 I was gonna buy that was set up in a sound-room being run through a $2000 Denon (I have an Onkyo).
In-freakin-credbile!!!!! Axiom guys - you rock!!

Those little woofers kick pretty good, don't they.
Congrats on the new system. I have M60s and VP100 but need to wait for the next budget infusion to pick up the QS8s. Enjoy !!

Congrats! I have a smiliar set-up (I have the VP-150 as opposed to the 100) and an Onkyo 702 and I think they sound great. Amazing speakers for their price range, and then some. I look forward to more detailed impressions!

my onkyo 701 also rocks my house with plenty of power to spare. with that SVS, make sure and secure anything glass, cause its liable to vibrate itself to the floor before to long..
congrats on your new arrival, and send us some pics!! we want pics!!
