I'm one. New to the boards here too...
I'm starting to see a few more EP500/600 owners post their experiences on these boards, but it makes me wonder... Are there really only a few of us? Granted they are new, but given the fact you have to buy them direct, I'd think every new owner would be perusing these message boards.
So, the question is, "How many of us have bought these subs?".
I recently added to my VP150 and M60ti fronts by buying 4 QS8s and an EP500 from the FO. However, they are still in route, so I don't have any experience to add, other than the experience of anticipation.
For me, the timing of the new subs from Axiom was perfect. I'd owned the VP150 and M60s for a little over a year and have loved them. I've been getting my HT area updated for 7.1 surround, and just when I'd decided to buy an SVS sub, I started hearing about these new beasts on some of the forums on the net. I had been hoping for some more reviews or personal accounts, but they've been a little slow in coming. So part of this new purchase was done on faith. I'm certain my faith will be rewarded!
I can't wait to get this hooked up!

The '600 would've been nice, but I was afraid it might kill my wife's poodle!
I expect with the '500, I'll only have a hairless cat. All at once. Boom! One pile instead of one hair at a time...
With a 13x18x8 room, the '500 should be plenty.

Have had the EP600 for a couple of weeks now and works great. Having a typical California house, the floor is 12" of pre stressed concrete, and one of my projects has been replacing carpet with a marble flloor. Also have an 8' Cal Spa in the solarium, which is a large part ot the listening area. Last night after finishing up adding the second set of M80's, put some tunes on and relaxed in the spa, with the system runing at about 94db, the EP600 was causing ripples on the water, and the spa has a surround of 12" x 12" granite tile, so its rather solid. Also noticed my two cats were having a reaction to the vibration in the concrete flloor, so ya, the sub does have a lot of power.

Mine came in Wednesday and after battling the cable tv ground loop issue can now completely enjoy its offering. Did a test run with Jurasic Park, the opening credits was incredible. Then I forwarded it to the T-Rex scene when all you hear are the distant footfall. Sent chills through my bones. Then, of course, Nemo and Darla's tap-tap. I had to crank her down to about 1/4 power. The receiver was at set at -30db. Needless to say, my kids love it.
Axiom stuff, Denon stuff, & Sony stuff

I'm also planning to watch the T-Rex scene and putting out a glass of water to watch the ripples like on the movie and Tharkun's hottub.
The worst part about buying the speakers from the Factory outlet is having to wait. A year or so ago, when I bought the M60s and the VP150, They had some ready to go when I called and didn't have to wait but a few days. 3 weeks is seeming like forever this time around!

I couldn't have made 12 weeks... I would've had to pay the extra 10%. Three weeks is torture enough.
I see that the FO - QS8s only have a 1 week wait, it's like they are counting down to when mine get delivered! The EP500 seem to be holding at 3 weeks though...
One week to go... waiting, waiting, waiting...

originally i did not even consider fo but when i saw the wait times drop i said why not. also im not sure if they told you when you ordered that with fo if you order 2 products with different times they add the times together then divide by 2. so if qs is one week and ep is 3 then total would be 2 weeks for both.

I just received mine. I am having trouble w/a bizarre ground loop issue. When I plug my video out from my receiver to my tv to perform auto setup, I get the hum w/ the ground screw in. W/o the ground screw I get the hum all the time. If I unplug the video out from receiver to monitor, the hum goes away????? Also, YPAO on the Yamaha Rxv2400 is really having trouble w/ the 500. It is 8.5 feet from my listening position and it is trying to set it as 19 feet away??? At +5.5 db which is blowing the roof off!! Any suggestions?
