So as I mentioned, took a trip to Costco yesterday... and got dragged down every damned aisle (we go once a month for my cigarettes - easiest place to buy American smokes here), had a bit of a smile at the setup of JVC and Sony HTIB systems, playing something by the Beatles off Magical Mystery Tour... didn't really pay much attention, was in the "just push the cart and mumble curses" trance.

As I passed each, they seemed to tremble, which I originally thought of as the electronic version of fear instilled by the sight of my Axiom Audio jacket... then I realized my six and a quarter foot frame was blocking the FM reception.

Both, though, were set for the audio version of "torch mode"... the Jazz preset EQ (name changes - but the naughts version of the 80s loudness button) and surround delay set to the atomic half-life of leaded glass.
