What is a good amp to use to power the Axiom M60ti or M80ti speakers? Would a Rotel RB 1070 (130x2) work well, or should I go for the next step up and get something like the Rotel 1080 (200x2)?
I'm currently powering my M22ti's, VP150, and a pair of Polk surrounds with the Rotel RB 1075 (120x5). I thought I may move my M22's to the back, and put a pair of M60 or M80's up front. I'll need another amp, so I want to know what's best for powering the M60/80's.

The RB1070 should be more than fine for M80s. I have used NAd C370 and Bryston 3B (both are 120x2 into 8ohms, 200x2 into 4ohms).
I would imagine bass with be a bit more taunt with the 1080 -- just a guess, the bass I'm getting is a bit loose -- but the difference may not be as prominent if you are using a sub. I've been trying to get that or a RB991 in the used market but thoses are not all that common in Canada
Good luck.

The 1070 is plenty of power, it's 130w @8Ohm, so just over 200w @ 4Ohm if you have the M80's. I have the RMB-1075, it's 120w @ 8Ohm's, and 200 at 4Ohm. I'm running M80's, and they can get very loud. If you plan on playing loud, really cranking it up a lot I would go with the 1080. Either way, you'll be happy.
