So are you Mac users happy that Valve is going to be bringing Steam and its games to the Mac? I'm actually pretty happy about it, even if I don't own a Mac. Maybe I'll gift a couple of games to my parents and try to do some cross-platform play.

I think it's pretty cool, although I suspect my 9400M totin' Macbook Pro won't run a whole lot of them. I could boot into 7 and find out, but I kinda don't have 7 in a bootable partition on this thing. VMware ain't the same thing when it comes to games...

So Final Fantasy XIII came out today. I'm really thinking about picking it up but a little worried whether I will like the linearity of it all, especially for the first 25 hours or so according to several reviews.)
I haven't really played any FF games since FF VII on PS1 and also played many of the classic version 1,2,3,5.
Maybe I'll pick it up at lunch...

I think Jeremy, who is an editor at 1Up.com sums up FF13 nicely on his personal website. I have a copy sitting right next to me, and will be taking a half day of work to get several hours into it.

This reminds me... Does anyone have any ETA at all on a new Elder Scrolls? It has been four years since Oblivion came out.

My guess is that it won't be until the next round of consoles hit the streets... But I will be buying that one up on launch day for sure! TES=best RPG ever.

I'm interested in Valve. Curious what games they'll have for OSX.
I did the Macheist recently and they have Monkey Island. Granted, in checking the first chapter, it doesn't need a whole lot of graphics power.
I'm w/ you kcarlie, I hope the 9400M is enough. I'm trying to suck it up and buy a refurb 27" iMac out of state so I can save some money on tax, but I may just have to live w/ my existing Macs instead.

I don't mind them taking so long on each Elder Scrolls game because I spend so many hours playing them. I would really like someone to start pushing the envelope with physics, but until there's one set standard for physics acceleration, I think we're kind of screwed. I think it would add a lot to the series, though, to have such interactive environments.
