Put a little more time into Final Fantasy XIII tonight. I'm about 24 hours in am enjoying the game thoroughly. I also played a thru the demo of God of War 3 and was pretty impressed.

Yeah, God of War III is pretty cool. I'm not terrific at the gameplay, but I'm really enjoying the environments.
I thought I'd take the opportunity to share my IDs again, in case anyone wanted to add me. I'm Bastia on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, and I'm GrayBabyOracle on Steam. Feel free to add me. Just let me know who you are on here so I don't mistakenly decline.

Anyone get the Dragon Age expansion? I'm up to the final battle in the original one, and feel like there is some replay value at least to see the origin story of the other character types. I'm not ready for the expansion yet, but wanted to know how it is. Is it basically more of the same, or did they change some things?

Just wrapped up a night in WoW, running 5 mans for badges. Been away for a few months (played up to NAXX before I left) so need to regear.

Badges? Badges?! We don't need no stinkin' badges!
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Didn't really try, either.

I bought Shatter on Steam a little while ago and played it a little bit the other night. It seems pretty fun, though it would take me some time to get any good at it, just like Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved did.

Borderlands
I got the Steam version since it was half-price. Unfortunately, it didn't want to run correctly. It would start with a black screen, but you could hear the sounds of the startup logos, then it would be a black screen and silence. I could alt-tab to another window, and then the menu music would play, but if you tried to go back into the game, it would go to black screen and silence again. After looking up potential fixes for a while (after reinstalling the game and updating my video drivers),I finally found a configuration utility, and selecting "Enable Windowed Rendering" allowed the game to run with actual video. The default resolution for the game is 640x480, apparently, and I guess my display didn't like it in fullscreen. I changed the resolution since I could actually get in and see the menu this time, so then I exited, ran the configuration utility again to get it out of windowed mode, and now I can finally play the game in 1920x1080 in fullscreen. What a pain trying to chase down that solution, though.
I look forward to getting further in the game than I got on the 360 version. I'll have to get the DLC for the game whenever it goes on sale. Did anyone here actually finish the game? I thought one or two of you had played it, at least.

I finished Borderlands on the 360. Well, almost. The final boss was much too difficult for me to keep my interest to finish it off. I did every mission available though, and it was enjoyable.
