Playing through God of War 1 and 2 right now to freshen up on the story for 3. It's been getting stellar reviews right now. Can't wait for the release of it!

Played Oblivion, but it seemed like the same thing over and over after a while. I didn't think the quests were well done or had lots of variety.
On the other hand, I am enjoying Dragon Age. Playing is slow going since it is hard to find time with an infant at home, but I'm making progress. I think I am getting close...about to have the Landsmeet in Ferelden. |

I admit in Oblivion it seems like every quest is just raiding a cave, and it does get a bit old. There is so much more to it than that though if you spend some time with it. The expanse of that game is insane.

I love just wondering around looking at things. The sky looks cool at night and climb up on the mountains and look down across Cyrodiil. The different terrain flora and fauna depending on where you go. The Weather (wind, rain, snow), waterfalls, little glens and other stuff to find. Blows Fallout 3 back to the last century.
The sound of the dripping water in, I think it’s “Greenmead Cave.” The bonfires inside a couple of caves. I’ve lost track of how much time I’ve spent on the game and still haven’t seen everything. The only thing I don’t like about the game is having to watch what you do if you want to level up efficiently. It’s a bitch not being able to run because you’re to close to leveling up athletics. Also a pain if you want to max things quickly like plinking (just tapping the trigger) iron arrows from a rusty iron bow at goblins a 1000 times or so to max archery. But then while you’re doing that they are wailing on you so you’re armour and armourer are also going up. Or jumping onto a table in a tavern and then jumping up and down 10/sec cause your only inches from the ceiling to quickly level up acrobatics. Or pointing your character into a corner and rubberbanding down the run toggle to level athletics. Same can be done with sneaking in a corner. My current character has 100 in Blace, Armourer, Athletics, Security (w/the skeleton key), Alchemy, Block, Acrobatics, Sneak, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, Marksman and Restoration at level 2. At this point one sneaking arrow shot kills anything but some bosses.

Someone sent me a link for DDO about two months ago.
http://www.ddo.com/ I love the fact that its free. Haven't done a ton with it and the game was very buggy until a recent update. It's alot more fun to play with friends but geez, some ppl have ALOT of time on their hands. Mercy me. Edited by chesseroo (03/12/10 09:41 PM)

I also use the weakest weapon like a rusty iron dagger, and fatigue myself by swinging like crazy going for maximum hits with minimum damage. When playing normally I keep it in the middle.

Yeah I was wondering whether u play on a console or pc. That is a pretty good strategy for leveling up.
I made several spells that cost like 1 pt to cast and just run around castinng spells over and over again

Ha ha, yes, I did a lot of that stuff for leveling up. I played the 360 version for over 280 hours. I actually bought the PC version on Steam when they had a deal for it and Morrowind, but I haven't played past the first tiny bit simply because I don't want to start all over again. I wonder how many hours I put into Morrowind on the Xbox. It was also a lot. As tedious as some parts of the games can be, I still really love those two Elder Scrolls games. I will definitely be playing the next one, whenever that surfaces.
