Well I played bionic commando (xbox live arcade) some more... It is a really fun, challenging game.
Its kind of odd how you jump around levels in an apparently random order... I just beat world 6 and received the super claw... World 6 had an easy boss but the level itself was pretty tricky! (Lots of jumps and swings over water with the bionic arm)

GRID is awesome. Finally got it this weekend (along with an XBOX 360 controller).

I played the GRID demo... very realistic look and feel to the driving... Some racing games just seem to have an odd pace to it... GRID looks and plays very nice!

Civilization Revolution has been keeping me up late every night.
It seems once I start a game I try to finish, which normally takes hours. ![]()

I think I'm going to get Civ Revolution this weekend. Got a fifty dollar gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket.

Sean, its the first strategy type game I've ever played and I'm really enjoying it. Maybe too much.

Haven't played civ rev in a while.. I beat it on deity with all 4 types of victories... I used the Aztecs for it, and did it in one game save.. (kept reloading.. kinda cheap but hey, I wanted the acheivements!) I played the scenario where you start with 3 cities and everyone declares war on you... forget the name
I have like 750 achievement points ![]()

I've never been much for the 'Starcraft style' RTS games but this new civilization game looks intriguing. Anyone care to describe the gameplay vs. a typical 'send in the trooops & build factories like mad' type game like the early Starcraft was?
I get that it's all about taking a weaker civilization to world dominating levels but I'm interested in how the gameplay mechanics go. Thanks!

Sins of a Solar Empire for me these days.
I enjoy RTS games. I enjoy space-themes. I enjoy blowing things up (virtually). They've struck a good balance between micro-management and fluid game play. Enough management to keep me entertained but not so much that it's daunting. I don't care that 20% of the population of Axiom-7 is unhappy with the wheat production, and there's none of that in SOASE. It's a great game. Fantastic graphics as well. Full 360 degree rotation, with fluid zoom levels from multiple solar systems down to the cockpit of a fighter. It's pretty incredible. Something about watching my armada drop out of hyperspace in an enemy planet's gravity well and immediately start launching hundreds of missiles at his orbital defenses make me giggle like a little school girl. Nuke 'em from orbit, I say. It's the only way to be sure. ![]()

I've been playing an assortment lately. My best is still Counter Strike Source, but I've been working on Call of Duty 4. I am playing in a LAN tourney in late September ( Showdown LAN )
When I'm not playing those, I've been messing around with Assassin's Creed and GRID. I haven't gotten very far in either, but just last night I played through the 24 Hours of Le Mans race (which is 24 minutes of gameplay for those that don't have GRID)... A game that I will load up every now and then is Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 just to build stuff. I need to finish Guitar Hero Aerosmith on my Wii one of these days, as well as finish Zach and Wikki and start Zelda Twilight Princess, oh and finish Mario Galaxy with my 9 year old, and fix my pinball machine (stupid stuck switch), and.....
