Been meaning to write a review for some time; purchased a pair of M80''s about 10 years ago and used them as ''mains'' in a home theatre system confined to a small room where they sounded wonderful but never allowed their full potentional. After some home remodeling the M80''s were moved to the living room in a stand alone stereo arrangement with a high end amp. The difference was astounding confined to music play alone. These speakers are likely the only product I have ever purchased in life that remain ''perfect'' in every aspect; they deliver superb sound quality and are beautiful to simply look at. If you are an average person who seeks suprerior sound, no matter what type of music you enjoy, the M80''s are within reach and could transform your music listening experience. If you love music like I do and use it as medicine to transcend life''s problems, I recommend investing in a pair of these speakers with a decent amp; for $2500 or so you can truly have one of life''s best benefits. Want to thank Axiom for continuing to strive for excellence.

This review has been long over due. Lots of research lead me to M80s. The moment I hooked them up, I was impressed more so than I have been listening to any other speakers. I started hearing notes and instruments in songs I have been listening to well over 15 years. Listening to these for the first time, I had this feeling of euphoria, it just felt great, experience was akin to getting a new pair of glasses and instantly seeing everything clearly.
At this point I can''t seem to like any system I listen to except these speakers. Hope Axiom makes car speakers at some point, where I spend a lot time listening to music.
Everytime, I come to your site and read the reviews, I feel great to be a member of the axiom customer club, you guys have truly made an excellent product.

Outstanding speakers for an outstanding price.
I had a pair of Cabasse MT3 Jersey before. Good 2 way speakers but weak bass (56Hz at -3dB) and the midrange become confused with a high volume of heavy bass music (because the same woofers has difficulty managing the midrange and bass at the same time).
On these speakers, midrange remain clear regardless of the volume and the presence of bass does not stifle the rest of the spectrum.
Many details, wide soundstage and no coloration. It\'s true hifi (high fidelity). So, beware of bad recordings, they will be even more inaudible but it\'s the price of fame. A speaker that \'improves\' the records do that with coloration (slightly less treble and bump in the midrange). It is no longer the Hifi... It is a choice to do consciously at the time of purchase. I chose neutrality.

'Thought I'd share a little anecdote with you. A couple years back I finished my 5.1 setup with a (no offense meant here) HSU Research VTF3-MK2 Sub. The 5 surround speakers are M80, VP150, QS8.
I started off testing the subwoofer using the included demo CD. There is one track on the CD that includes an organ playing as low as 16Hz. The track sounded excellent, beautiful bass extension, I could make out all of the bass (even the part I couldn't hear, but only feel) it sounded great. I played through it a few more times, turning the volume up a bit each time. I was very happy with the sound, but it never quite got as loud as I expected, especially at the very lowest notes.
It was then that I realized, that the HSU sub, wasn't receiving a signal. It was the M80s performing the bass extension, powered only by the internal amps on the Denon 3806 that was blowing me away all the way to the 16Hz organ notes. Once I got the sub signal fixed, the crossovers tuned correctly and levels set, I was able to get the extreme volume I was looking for and it blended beautifully with the M80s bass extension.
I'm still amazed to this day how well the M80s performed with deep bass on relatively low power. Great work Axiom.
