I have previously had several different brands of center speaker, and even after getting all my speakers upgraded to Axiom's with a VP150 center channel speaker, which I thought was fine (more than fine actually). But I recently upgraded to the VP180 and I was blown away. Having the two larger drivers in the center channel really makes a huge difference in the frequency range that the center channel can now handle with ease.
The first thing I noticed was how rich the voices now sounded. It was like having a center speaker for the first time. Dialog was more realistic and full. All the other sounds normally played in the center also sounded more distinct and clear.
I have a pair of M80's for my fronts and the VP180 really fits in nicely with them. With other speakers I've had, the center channel always sounded too separate, you could always hear sounds distinctly from the left and right (which I expect), but the center should be able to blend in to the total experience. I can happily say that's exactly what I now hear. The front three speakers now seem to work together to create a more immersive experience.
It's not a small speaker by any stretch of the imagination, but it really is a welcome addition to my system. Combined with my QS8 rear surrounds, I'm finally a happy camper! Why every speaker manufacturer doesn't promote a full compliment of drivers in the center channel is beyond me. This is a winning combination in my book!

This speaker is replacing my 7 year old VP-150. I absolutely love the full sound of the VP-180 v4. I highly recommend this center channel speaker.

The Vp180HP V4 just in, it replaces a VP180 V3 and the difference is pretty obvious, sounds more linear and seems to be a much better match to the HP line like the M100''S, the upgrade & shipping process was fast and easy, simply put these guys are not just another speaker company, they are synonym to excellence in customer service and product manufacturing.
