I needed to replace a pair of mid 80s Ruark Sabre 2 speakers that I paid £350 for in 1984-5. Trying to find good audiophile speakers with real wood cabinets is much harder than it was 40 years ago!. I have no regrets with the M3s. I actually have them on very low stands on the floor, due to domestic aesthetics rather than audio considerations but they sound superb - very detailed, really good stereo separation and a much better bass than the old speakers (photo taken from the listening position. it's quite low). Delivered to the UK in a couple of weeks from order. I'm very satisfied.

I've owned M60s, M80s, M22s, M3s and M2s over the past 8-10 years. It's been about 3 years since I owned any of them and a few weeks ago decided I wanted to sell what I had and get something different. I decided to try Axioms again and went with the M3s. We moved and we sold all of our HT equipment so these speakers are hooked to a receiver and amp for our TV and some 2 channel music.
At first, the speakers didn't wow me and actually sounded a bit muffled but I'm experienced enough to know that it takes a few days for everything to click. I do believe that speakers need a couple of hours of break-in time for the components to loosen up but to me, break-in is much more for our ears and head than for the speakers.
At this time, the speakers are crisp, clear and sound great. We are hearing all of the music on our recordings and CDs and the separation and soundstage are very noticeable.
Overall, we are very happy and glad to be back with Axioms!!

I purchased these a few years ago, and I use these for my surround. The only issue is for some reason, both Axiom plastic logos just fell off, that was when they were 6 or 7 months old. I had emailed support in the hopes of maybe getting replacement grilles? I was told to use Superglue.. (On fabric!) I don't think so... I hope they now use something better to fasten those logos.

Got my M3s in 2002. Still loving them. Friends are always blown away. I'm a musician too. Unbelievable...and Canadian.

Just a note to let you know that we installed the Axiom speakers this weekend and they exceed my expectations. The speakers are powerful and the sound is so clear that I can watch our TV at lower volumes (which makes my wife happy) and still hear everything clearly.
