I know the rule that the better the input the better the output, and that MP3's as a format cut out a lot of the quality. From my understanding, the reason they get away with it is because the average listeners audio equipment and ear aren't really good enough to tell the difference. With this new Axiom setup I am hoping the difference between an MP3 and an actual CD of a track will be significantly different.

That being said, I do have an extensive MP3 collection and a media PC hooked up to the HT that networks around 60 GB of MP3's from my main PC. Will the Axioms give me a noticeable increase in aural quality in MP3 format?

How much does the bitrate of the MP3 effect these results assuming it's 128+ ?
