You may notice the MP3s on the M3s not sounding as good as you think, they are a forgiving speaker but when some of that information is removed it can be noticeable on better speakers.

The higher the bit rate the better they sound. I have found 128+ sounds like FM radio to me, somewhat flat, loses the dynamics a little, but can be enjoyed none the less.
