Greg, another welcome. Your 3808 should be excellent with your setup and have more than enough maximum power capacity unless your use pattern is very unusual. The question isn't whether you'd be able to hear "the" difference with separates, but rather if there'd be "a" difference to be heard. Despite frequent attempts that we read to ignore the way that amplifiers work, unless you'd exceed the maximum power capabilities of the 3808(highly unlikely), it will supply transparent amplification that can't be audibly improved.
