Yes, I do have the HDMI plug going from cable box to Denon HDMI port #3(cable/tv)and an HDMI cable from Denon MONITOR port to the TV HDMI #1 port. This seems correct because any other config yeilds nothing at all. I assigned the Denon to HDMI but can't get past the Denon menu on my TV screen. Any body have any luck contacting Denon customer support via phone for assistance during business hours? The manual does not list any support phone numbers,but I'm pretty sure the web site does. I did go through the Denon menu options thoroughly but that didn't seem to produce any results. If it makes a difference I am using a Tripplite HT1010SAT3 surge protector. I mention this only because I had to remove the cable wire and connect tirectly to the cable box to recieve the signal for my new HDMI box. After the signal was recieved I reconnected the cable to the surge protector. Thanks for the reply.
