Randy, the pamphlet says "VOLUME: Set this midway to the 9 o'clock position for initial setup." That statement is a little confusing because when stating a "midway" point, usually two points on the scale are mentioned, like midway between point "x" and point "y." Since only one point is mentioned, the "9 o'clock" position, I assume, the unmentioned point is the position of lowest possible volume which is about the 4 o'clock position. "Midway to the 9 o'clock position" from that point would be the mid point between 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock.
