You are correct the Mii parade only works as a viewer, once the Mii is in your plaza it is no longer in the parade and when you are sent a Mii it is put into the plaza.


I have read that the Wii only connects once every 20 min does its checks and then disconnects, which is why it takes so long for Miis to show up and for friend codes to start working.
