JohnK, good idea about the Onkyo, but I'd have to pay shiping and duties and taxes on it, bringing it to at least $250.

I can get this one used for $100 CAD.

I'm only using until I either get a high end Sherwood Newcastle, or something similar (i.e. Denon or HK) that has HDMI and the new codecs for HD discs, and auto room EQ, etc... I had a low end Denon that played nicely with my setup, and was planning to sell it when I bought the new receiver, but then my dad's receiver broke and he offered me a good deal to purchase it, so I sold it to him. In the interim, I'm using my stereo HK receiver, but am desperate to go back to surround sound, and as well I'll use the Yamaha for a bedroom surround system (I'll be attempting to build the speakers myself!)
