That's a nice piece of equipment, I think I'm leaning towards getting a standalone HDDVD player, after hearing the lossless stuff on BR the 360 add on with only optical audio output just doesn't cut it anymore. Any recommendations on a HDDVD player?



I have the X1 but you can't get them anymore. It's pretty irritating anyway. Real friggin slow and not a very intuitive user interface. The X2 is getting some pretty good praise at AVS. But, I think it is not bug free and a lot of owners are pissed at Toshiba waiting for firmware fixes.

The X2, from some of the things I've read is also excellent at up converting sd dvd's (much better than the A2). They did a shoot out with it and a Crystalio Video Processor and it did just as well. The C2 is a $4500 VP. http://www.crystalio.com/

So I don't really know what to tell ya. I think the X2 is the one to get, but I'd read some of the user threads at AVS to see what all the bugs are first. Just ignore the BS.
