there is a little confusion I have about how the bass filter in the reciever works. In Saturn and JohnK 's comments above, it seems that even when fronts are set to Large, the subwoofer filter will STILL send the <80Hz content meant for the fronts channels to the Subwoofer as well. Is this the case ?
I would think that the receiver would ONLY send the <80 Hz content that is meant for the OTHER channels/speakers (marked as Small) to the Sub and NOT send any <80 content meant for the Fronts (which are marked as Large). Wouldn't sending the <80 content to both the large Fronts and the Sub potentially result in phasing issues between the 80-27 Hz fronts channel output coming from the Fronts and that same channel content coming from the Sub as well ?
