Its based on the Oppo 970 upscaling video platform with built in decoding and analog out. Then Cambridge took it a step further and used its better isolated discrete power supply, better chassis and added some anti-vibration techniques.

Or if you got nothing better to do with your money you can blow some cash. Pick up a higher end Marantz or Denon or Sony SACD/CD player and Oppo 970 and have the best of both world.
