Mustang, it isn't likely that you'll find someone here with that exact combination of components, but you don't have to, and an "audition" wouldn't really be helpful. Both the 1700 and the 270 are excellent performers within their designed limits and there's no good reason why they wouldn't power your M80s transparently without adding an audible sonic coloration.
Depending on the sound levels that you use and the dynamic range of the source materials, you may even find that the 1700 is entirely sufficient on its own. You might try that first and possibly save some money.
