The Outlaw 950 has clones. I bought the 950 after waiting for a long period of time on the waiting list. Outlaw designs the product and has it made for them in an OEM factory. For the 950, it was Eastech that was contracted out. To keep the cost low. they sell their designs, which are then cosmetically altered and rebadged.

One of the Outlaws is Peter Tribeman, who started Atlantic Technology. The similarities between the looks of Outlaw equipment and classic NAD pieces from the early to mid 80s can be traced to Peter, who during that time was the president of NAD. You can see the connection.

the original, larger Outlaw amps were designed by the Outlaws and built by ATI in California. They are NOT ATI amps, but ATI was contracted out to build the units to Outlaw specs. The Outlaws are brilliant designers who have an idea to built the best piece they can at a given price point. For the prices they sell at, very few can compete with them.
