i've been listening closely to them in 2 channel mode, using ipod and a subwoofer, they're 9ft apart and seating is 9ft back, toed them in some, sounds pretty good.
i placed the centre horizontal but it really screwed up the sound, left to right was aweful, all three vertically works perfect as long as your seated.
