Oh yeah, meeting the kids is definately a big step. Since my kids live in Atlanta and only come up here for 6 weeks in the summer, 1 week at Christmas and one week during spring break I never really had to make that decision early on in relationships that didn't last past 6 months or so. But that was about the ONLY good thing about them living so far away
I dated a girl for a few years who had a seriously redneck sister whom I couldn't stand. She had 3 kids, and she changed men every other week. She would meet a man at a bar, bring him home for the night, and the next day she'd have her kids calling him 'daddy'. I couldn't stand being around that woman. Over the course of my relationship with her sister her kids had a few dozen daddies... how messed up is that?
