It seems maybe MCACC is a one size fits all, that does a fairly good job at what it does, and the Audyssey program may be a tweaker's paradise, that will require a fair amount of tweaking to make it sound good. That's my first impression of it.

Edit: So, far, it has cut the bass and center, and seems to have extended the highs too much. I used the 6 position mic position.
