I'm not a big whiskey drinker but I keep a bottle of "Glen Breton Rare - 10 Years" around for when I get the urge. Made by the Glenora Distillery in the highlands of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It is definately my favorite. Im pretty sure they export to the US too, if I recall the mention when I did the tour a couple of years ago.

Edit: I forgot to mention that it is a single malt whiskey so perhaps more of a scoth vs. a standard fare whiskey. That's probably why I like it though.
