I think you're probably correct. But,
here's the online dictionary which gave me the "pretty" result. Ya just can't trust some dictionaries.
After checking another couple of online dictionaries, one had no definitions for "guapo," and another had 3: "good looking," "handsome," and interestingly, "bouncer." I suspect the character in the movie, who was very funny, by the way, was supposed to be El "handsome," which he wasn't.
Fun movie, though.
